"Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip." (Hebrews 2:1)
When it comes to God's Truths, we must give a strict attention to them. We must be sure to always hear them with care and deep concern...closely consider them...diligently inquire into them...valuably esteem them...highly prize them as a matter of the greatest importance... diligently hearken to them...read them frequently...closely meditate on them...strictly adhere to them...watchfully retain them...closely conform to them...and mix them with faith.
Never are we to allow the business, pleasures, or cares of this life to cause us to become indifferent to them...cause them to appear unimportant or uninteresting to us...or to allow them to glide by us without attention or without profit.
At all times, we must find them to be more important than other truths - never allowing for any unprofitable hearing of them through inattention, neglect, or forgetfulness.
"Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard..." (Hebrews 2:1)
How do you "heed" what you "hear"?
Are you - by any chance - like a leaking vessel or strainer?
