OUR PRAISEWORTHY CREATOR IS ABLE
As new creatures in Christ,
our hearts cry out to the Living God this day, declaring - "Thou art
worthy, O LORD..."
There is not a man who is deserving of our praises.
Only the Lord Jesus is worthy to receive "Glory and Honour and Power." He
has the right to the Preeminence in all things.
He and He alone is worthy to have all praise ascribed to Him!
Revelation 4:11 states - "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and
honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure
they are and were created."
Continuously, the Scriptures command us to give Jesus all the Glory due
His Name -
-
1 Chronicles 16:29 - "Give
unto the LORD the glory due unto His name..."
-
1 Chronicles 16:28 - "...give
unto the LORD glory and strength."
-
Nehemiah 9:5 - "...blessed be
Thy Glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise."
-
Psalm 68:34 - "Ascribe ye
strength unto God..."
-
Revelation 14:7 - "...Fear
God, and give glory to Him..."
Oh, Child of God! Are you
obeying the Word of the Lord to you this day?
Are you giving the Lord Jesus all of the glory that is due Him?
Isaiah 42:8 reminds us of the fact that He will not share His glory with
another, neither His praise with graven images - "I am the LORD: that is
My name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to
graven images."
In Revelation 4:11, we read as pertaining to the Lord Jesus - "Thou art
worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power..."
Why is He so worthy? What mighty acts have proven His worth?
There is no greater act to prove His sovereignty and awesome Power than
creation itself.
Revelation 4:11 continues onward by saying - "...for Thou hast created all
things..."
1 Peter 4:19 - The fact that He is the "Faithful Creator" of all is the
foundation for all of our praise.
Revelation 4:11 concludes with these awesome words- "...and for Thy
pleasure they are and were created."
All creation exists by His will. Therefore, they owe Him their utmost
praise and adoration.
Let's read the celebration of Praise from all of God's creation, found in
Psalm 148:1-13 -
"Praise ye the LORD. Praise
ye the LORD from the heavens: praise Him in the heights.
Praise ye Him, all His angels: praise ye Him, all His hosts.
Praise ye Him, sun and moon: praise Him, all ye stars of light.
Praise Him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the
heavens.
Let them praise the name of the LORD: for He commanded, and they were
created.
He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: He hath made a decree
which shall not pass.
Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling His word:
Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
Let them praise the name of the LORD: for His name is excellent; His glory
is above the earth and heaven."
Psalm 149:2 declares - "Let Israel rejoice in Him that made Him: let the
children of Zion be joyful in their King."
Psalm 150:2,6 add - "Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according
to His excellent greatness...Let every thing that hath breath praise the
LORD. Praise ye the LORD."
Why do we praise Him?
-
Genesis 1:1 - Because the
Scriptures declare that He created the heaven and the earth.
-
Exodus 20:11 - In six days,
He made them, and all that is within them.
-
Isaiah 40:28 - He is the
"everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth."
-
Jeremiah 27:5; 32:17 - He
made heaven, earth, man, and the beasts that are upon the ground by His
"great power and stretched out arm."
-
John 1:3 - "All things were
made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made."
-
Acts 17:24 - Because He made
all things, "He is Lord of heaven and earth."
-
Psalm 33:9 - "For He spake,
and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast."
-
Hebrews 1:10 - In the
beginning, He laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the
works of His hands.
-
Hebrews 1:3 - Now, He upholds
all things "by the word of His power."
What a Mighty God He is!
What a Mighty God we serve!
He is the fountain of all life and being.
He is the source of all strength, power, wisdom, knowledge, understanding,
and perfection.
Nothing is -
...too hard for Him!
...impossible with Him!
...too difficult for Him!
He has Unlimited Power and Infinite Wisdom!
He can handle any problem, case, situation, or circumstance that we could
ever face.
He is the Great I Am That I Am!
He is the God over all Mankind!
He is the Creator of All!
-
Jeremiah 32:17 - The Prophet
Jeremiah cried out - "Ah Lord God! behold, Thou hast made the heaven and
the earth by Thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing
too hard for Thee."
-
Jeremiah 32:27 - And again,
in the Book of Jeremiah, we read God's Mighty Words - "Behold, I am the
LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for Me?"
-
Genesis 18:14 - Is it any
wonder that God spoke to Abraham concerning Sarah having a baby at 90
years of age - "Is any thing too hard for the LORD?"
-
Luke 1:37 - Should it be any
wonder that a virgin conceive and bear a son and His name be called -
Emmanuel - meaning "God with us"? For the angel declared unto Mary - "For
with God nothing shall be impossible."
-
Job 42:2 - Job understood the
concept that power belongs unto God for He said unto the LORD - "I know
that Thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from
Thee."
-
Luke 18:27 - Therefore -
"...The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."
What impossibilities are you
facing this day?
In what kind of trouble and dangers do you find yourself?
What difficulties are you encountering that have you perplexed, confused,
discouraged, and even depressed?
Psalm 18:3 - Do as David did - "...Call upon the LORD, Who is worthy to be
praised..."
Call upon -
...the Faithful Creator of the ends of the earth!
...Him Who is Lord of heaven and earth.
...Him Who declared - "I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any
thing too hard for Me?"
What will happen when you do?
You will - not maybe - not perhaps - not hope so -
You will be saved from your enemies.
In Psalm 18:3, David proclaimed - "I will call upon the LORD, Who is
worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from mine enemies."
Who, in the entire universe, would ever dare to challenge this Awesome
Being?
Therefore, with all confidence, call upon Him Who is worthy of all Glory
and Honor and Power.
He will fight your battles and see you through to Victory!
He has all Power in heaven and in earth!
He is Creator God!
May God Bless His Word
