I pray that it stirs your soul as it did mine.
In a day and an hour when the Truth of God's Word is being assaulted on all sides, may we have the Holy Ghost Boldness to stand and speak as God would have us to speak! 
May our testimony be like that of the Apostle Paul - "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek" (Romans 1:16).

Last time, when telling about our Saturday "Church" on the streets, I mentioned a DRUNK
by the name of Herb. I hope that you noticed that I used the word--"DRUNK" and NOT
--"ALCOHOLIC."
 
You see, in America today, and EVEN in the AMERICAN CHURCH, we have renamed SIN
into "SICKNESS"...... Or even WORSE it's not even "sickness", many times, but just a particular "LIFESTYLE." 
 
We would not want to OFFEND anybody with the TRUTH, would we ?
Oh No ! that might cause some SUFFERING, PERSECUTION, & REJECTION to come
our way, and then our little psyches might be damaged in the process--SO WE HAVE OPTED FOR RELIGIOUS & POLITICAL CORRECTNESS BOTH WITHIN AND WITHOUT THE CHURCH.
 
Yesterday, on the radio, a SEMINARY PROFESSOR was being interviewed about the
"PROBLEM" of--- "TEEN SEXUAL ACTIVITY."  Over & Over again he EMPHASIZED
that the "TEENS" were ---"making a 'MISTAKE' " every time they had sex outside of marriage."  He continually called SEX OUTSIDE OF HOLY MATRIMONY a--"MISTAKE."
Only problem is that GOD, in His HOLY BIBLE, calls it ---"FORNICATION."
Then GOD ADDS ---"If you FORNICATE, you go to HELL." -- ( my paraphrase )
But then, GOD is not really "WITH IT " like us moderns, is He ?  He's kinda "Ol' FOGGIE."
 
( Only problem is that GOD is the ONLY ONE that has the right to write the rules and make
up the hand book.  He also is the ONLY ONE that has a HEAVEN & HELL to either
promote us to or cast us down into. )
 
Now, we wouldn't want to use such an "UGLY" and "GRAPHIC" word like---"FORNICATION" ---would we ?  Why, we might "OFFEND" the little FORNICATING TEENAGERS in the process and especially their PARENTS who also grew up--- FORNICATING--- and thinking that they were being cute in the process, and that they just made a few little-- "MISTAKES."
 
We're much "WISER" than GOD.  God OFFENDS people with His TRUTH and often
causes an UPROAR,  because HE REFUSES TO TONE DOWN HIS GRAPHIC TERMS
IN DESCRIBING --SIN--AND THE AWFUL CONSEQUENCES OF SUCH--going to HELL !
But WE use "WISDOM" and OFFEND NO ONE.  And as a result we have NO AUTHORITY, NO POWER, and do nothing, and see nothing at church, but more of the same NON-OFFENSIVE drivel week in and week out; and yet MOST church folks often think that we are having ourselves a "REVIVAL" in America today.
 
I agree that we are having a "REVIVAL" in America.  We see plainly that we are having
a REVIVAL of HEDONISM, PAGANISM, HEATHENISM and every other sort of
UNGODLY ISM that ever existed on the face of God's green earth. It's ALL being REVIVED
in America today !
 
Sin & Sinners STRUT proudly, as the world and the church re-name every sort of INIQUITY
into "SICKNESSES" or "LIFESTYLES."
 
Now, SODOMY is an "alternate lifestyle."   ADULTERY is "having an affair." 
( ooooooh doesn't that sound alluring and exciting ?!---"having an affair !!!" )
 
FORNICATION is "being sexually active."  SORCERERS are now "drug abusers."
DRUNKS are "alcoholics." 
 
AND, to top it all off, we NOW have a NEW KIND OF ---"SPECIALIST" ---to "COUNSEL"
all the "SEXUALLY ACTIVE " folks; and/or those "HAVING AN AFFAIR".
This "SPECIALIST" is called a---"SEXOLOGIST." 
 
Too bad that HEROD & HERODIOUS ran head on into-- JOHN THE BAPTIST.
He CONFRONTED them with their ADULTERY and called them to REPENTANCE.
If they had only met up with a "SEXOLOGIST," they could have paid him/her about
TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS AN HOUR in order to FEEL BETTER ABOUT THEMSELVES.
 
John was BEHEADED for his efforts of trying to SAVE THE ADULTEROUS COUPLE
FROM A BURNING LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE ----If John had only used
more "WISDOM," he would have called himself a "SEXOLOGIST," massaged the wicked
couple with some politically correct terms, offended no one, and EVEN GOTTEN PAID BIG
MONEY IN THE PROCESS OF HIS--- "COUNSELING."
 
Now, back to Herb the DRUNK----
 
Over a period of many years we dealt with Herb on the streets of Dallas.
Often times as I was preaching, Herb would walk up and stand and listen.
He was ALWAYS DRUNK.  Sometimes, after listening a moment or two, Herb would SHOUT
aloud---"Amen ! your preachin' the truth, Preacher !!! "  Then, in just another moment or two,
Herb would SHOUT aloud---"YOU'RE A LIAR, PREACHER !!! STOP YOUR LYING !!!!! "
 
The REASON Herb so readily changed his mind about my preaching ability was because
Herb was INDOCTRINATED with "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED " and
"UNCONDITIONAL ETERNAL SECURITY " doctrines all of his life.  He was NOW
about 50 years old and he was fully INDOCTRINATED  and INOCULATED against the truth.  Every time I'd preach AGAINST his favorite, pet, soul damning doctrines, Herb would
SHOUT ALOUD---"YOU'RE A LIAR, PREACHER !!! STOP YOUR LYING !!!!! "
 
Herb would often walk up to me WEEPING and say---"I'm sick."
 
I'd return---"No Herb, YOU are a SINNER MAN--not a SICK MAN. God calls you a DRUNK not an 'ALCOHOLIC.'  You don't need a cure---YOU NEED TO REPENT OF YOUR SIN AND GET SAVED."
 
Herb would counter---"But, I AM SAVED ! "
 
I'd ask --"What makes you SAVED, Herb ?
 
Herb answered---"My brother is a BAPTIST PASTOR, and I used to SING IN THE CHOIR AT HIS CHURCH ! "
 
My reply---"So that makes you SAVED ? "
 
Herb--"Yes, I prayed 'the prayer' and my brother said I'm SAVED-- and I CAN'T LOSE IT ! "
 
Me---"Herb, you are LOST as Cooter Brown. You are HEADED STRAIT TO HELL FIRE
AND DAMNATION; and ME AND GOD LOVE YOU TOO MUCH TO TELL YOU
ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE TRUTH---- You need to REPENT, Herb, and call on JESUS, and He will SET YOU FREE FROM ALL SIN."
 
Herb---"I did REPENT. I said 'the prayer' many years ago. "
 
Me---"No Herb, Repent DOES NOT mean to say 'the prayer'. REPENT MEANS THAT YOU TURN FROM SIN UNTO JESUS AND, BY THE HELP AND POWER OF GOD, YOU QUIT YOUR SINNING."
 
Well, to this day (  after about 17 years of dealing with Herb ) Every time Herb sees me he walks up to me, in a slopping DRUNK condition, and WEEPING he says---"I'm sick."
 
Hey, speaking of RENAMING SIN into something more NON OFFENDING and palatable---
IT'S A-- SIN-- TO CALL THE PSYCHO BABEL, DAMNABLE FOOLISHNESS, COMING FROM MOST PULPITS IN AMERICA TODAY---"PREACHING."
 
God has a word to say to the AMERICAN PREACHER---------
