Psalm 36:1 ---"The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is

no fear of God before his eyes."

 

Here in Psalm 36:1, David is saying that when he observes how the wicked transgress God's commands, then it is that he understands that they ( the wicked ) do not FEAR GOD.

 

Now, I know that 99 and 44/100% of preachers will parrot the same old tommy-rot, non-scriptural nonsense, concerning "THE FEAR OF GOD", that they have heard from other luke-warm, half-baked "ministers".  Namely, ---   "To 'Fear God' simply means that we should 'respect' God".

That sounds cute, soft and loving, and everything, but nothing could be further from the TRUTH.

Both the Hebrew of the Old Testament and the Greek of the New Testament when speaking of THE FEAR OF GOD make it exceedingly clear that the English word FEAR is indeed the correct word to use in translation from the Hebrew and Greek into English.  Both the Hebrew and Greek words for FEAR as concerning ---THE FEAR OF GOD---are defined as---"to be afraid of, to be in fear of, to be terrified, and frightened. Also, to be in awe and respect of ".........So, you see, that much more is given in definition than just respect and awe; but "ministers" who want to defend God and make Him appear to be a very nice kind of a Santa Clause figure, rather not tell you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Besides, most of them, just parrot what they have heard from another "minister" on TV, Radio, or maybe a book or tape. They do not really study things out for themselves; and if they ever do, they find it hard to work up enough courage to play the man and actually come forth with the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Above all else, they want God to appear---NICE. 

 

The TRUTH is that we had better be exceedingly AFRAID of doing anything to offend God by transgressing His Holy Word and commandments.  Psalm 7:11......."God is ANGRY with the WICKED every day".  Psalm 9:17---"The WICKED shall be turned into HELL, and all the nations that forget God."

Now, I'd say that those two verses alone, let alone all the thousands of others that tell us the exact same thing, ought to cause us all to do more than just---"respect" God.  We ought to FEAR His Holy wrath against SIN enough to "straighten up and fly right". 

 

I've heard preachers say---"God is not ANGRY with you. He doesn't have a BIG stick that he's going to hit you with....God LOVES you just the way you are ".............Well, if God "loves us just the way we are" then there would be no call from heaven telling us to---REPENT !!!  And, if God is not ANGRY with the WICKEDNESS of the WICKED then why does the BIBLE tell us that HE IS ??? 

Well, I guess God, and His Holy Word should not be our only trust worthy guide....better to listen to and believe Dr. Dry-Hide and Pastor Luke-Warm ???

 

No, I believe I'll stick with the HOLY BIBLE and THE TRUE AND LIVING GOD described therein.

I'd advise you do the same.

AND FACTS BELOW.  I did not compile nor write the below information and facts, but I have come across this before and it re-quickened in me THE FEAR OF GOD and the knowledge that we had better walk before Him and serve Him in Holiness and Truth.  He may, or may not, have a "BIG STICK"; but, he has all forms and fashions of JUDGMENT to bring down upon un-holy heads, as well as a terrifying place called---HELL---where all who choose SIN and SATAN will spend ETERNITY !!!

I am certain.  Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple.  Today, we are more famous than Him (1966)”.  Lennon, shortly after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times and died.

 

TANCREDO NEVES:

During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500 votes from his party, not even God could remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

 

CAZUZA:
During a show in Canecão (Rio de Janeiro), whilst smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: God, that's for you.  I can't even explain how he died.

 

THE MAN WHO BUILT TITANIC:

After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: "Not even God can sink it". 

The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.

MARILYN MONROE:

She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He is a preacher and Evangelist and the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.

After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:  "I don't need your Jesus".  A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

 

BON SCOTT:

The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:   “Don’t stop me, I’m going down all the way, wow the highway to hell".   On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his vomit.

 

CAMPINAS/SP IN 2005

In Campinas, a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend. The mother, of one, accompanied her daughter to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter - holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: “MY DAUGHTER, GO WITH GOD AND MAY HE PROTECT YOU". She responded: "ONLY IF HE (GOD) TRAVELS IN THE BOOT, COZ INSIDE HERE IT'S ALREADY FULL".  Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, and the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the boot was intact. The police said there was no way the boot could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the boot was a crate of eggs, none was broken.

 

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive. JESUS !!!
