![]() "Bless the Lord. O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name"(Psalm 103:1). This is a short update of what God has been doing behind the scenes at Walking In Truth Ministry. First of all, I want to thank all of you who had prayed for me while I was away at the Minister's Conference. I had a glorious time. >From the very start, I felt God's presence with me. The conference began with chapel in the Bible School that I once attended. At the end of the time of praise and worship, the students were asked to lay hands on all of the visiting ministers. Many of the women gathered around me and prayed. I received a wonderful touch from the Lord that just increased over the three days. I can remember three different times when I physically felt God empowering me. It was glorious! The worship was reviving, the meetings were uplifting, and the fellowship was refreshing. I met so many of God's wonderful servants from around the world. Secondly, I have been going every Tuesday to the Fort Worth Correctional Institute to minister to the women inmates. I have been having a glorious time. On one particular night, another chaplain's volunteer and I were ministering to a group gathered at a table. There was one young woman who was relating to us how she had been a second time offender. That means that she was once released and ended up committing the same crime again - only to get arrested and land in jail again. Her story was so sad. Her father was hooked on drugs, and her mother was a drunkard. This young woman began a lifestyle of drugs at 15 years old. She said that she has tried to stop, but each time, it's as though a monster overpowers her, and she surrenders to its power. She claims to have a relationship with Jesus at this time, but has many fears of going back into the free world - only to lose the victory to this "monster" once again. She also has dreams of getting high and even feels sensations of being high. While the other minister was speaking to her, I began to pray in my heart for an answer for this young lady. Immediately, the Holy Spirit impressed on me to ask her a question. I looked at her and asked, "Do you spend your time with the other women inmates talking about the past days of getting high - rehashing all of your experiences?" Her eyes immediately watered up with great, big tears as she and another inmate both related how they do this all of the time. I then told her that God told me that that was her problem. The reason why she could not go forward was because she was always looking back. I admonished all of them to refuse to talk about their past sins and to start talking about the anointing, the power of God, the Word of God, and the Grace of God. It was awesome how God revealed to me the secret to their future victory - and it is simply to turn their back on the past and not to ever again rehearse all of its stories or events. Or, before long, they will be back there again! Not only do our spirits need to be saved in salvation, but following afterwards, our minds need to be renewed by the Word of God and our conversation sanctified by the Holy Spirit if we ever plan on going all the way with Jesus. Another time God used me to open up the Scriptures to two of the inmates - in a way they never heard before. They were thrilled! He also gave me a word of knowledge - relating something from their past of which most people were unaware. I never saw these women before. In fact, I was having a hard time remembering their names. But God got so much glory as He used me - a total stranger - to relate a very personal experience that they both encountered in the past and to then give the Biblical solution to it. This past Tuesday, I was privileged to minister one-on-one to a 57 year old women who had been a repeated offender. Lord willing, she is getting out this next Tuesday(May 2nd). By the grace of God, I poured the Word of God into her - telling her that she can make it by the grace and power of God. She has since come back to the Lord, come to her senses, learned her lesson, and never plans on coming back to such a terrible place. Please pray for her. Her name is Henrietta. Most of the women are very young in this facility. I believe that God used the age factor to work on her heart to show her that she had better make some drastic changes for her life is almost over. God is also moving over the Internet - touching people's lives through the Daily Messages. Below is one response that I recently received from a subscriber who was ministered to by the message entitled - "A Word To Those Who Want To Play With Sin." I withheld the name and e-mail address of the sender. Thank you for this message.
A short brief bio about me. I put my faith in Jesus Christ on Sept. 20, 2003 after getting locked up in prison. My faith grew incredibly and I can't begin to tell you of all the miracles and blessing God has bestowed upon me. I was a drug addict and a single mom. I was released Jan. 20, 2006 just a couple months ago. I have been going to a local church and promised to myself that I was never going to let my experience and faith go. I have stayed sober and am living with my 12 year old son. I knew things were never going to be easy but I have my relationship with Jesus Christ. I met an old friend of mine and this message was written for me. I know it was. So I thank God that He put it on your heart to write it just that way. I thank God that I am on the right path and I know that my repentance was needed and now I am continue on with my diligent obedience to God's commands. I have
been saved from death and am by no means looking to separate myself from God again. I thank you again. God bless you.
Isn't that beautiful! God's Word was delivered on-time! He's an On-time God! Yes, He is!
Responses like this one come to my Inbox on a Daily basis - telling how God's Word - through the Daily Messages - is speaking to hearts and changing lives. To Him be all the Glory!
I ask all of you to continue to pray for me as I minister for the Lord. Right, at this moment, my family and I are under attack. Certainly, we are not surprised. God is using all three of us in a mighty way to touch lives!
I have been asked to teach more times throughout the week in the jails, but I am not able to do so because I don't have a car. Please pray with me that God will supply.
Also, I submitted some of my messages to the chaplain, and I am awaiting a response as to whether or not I can start taking my messages into this particular facility. There are so many so-called preachers who visit the jails - preaching a Gospel of no power. They say that nobody can live above sin. Resultantly, we are all expected to stumble and fall most of the time and then get back up. What a bunch of garbage! The last thing an inmate who is struggling with all kinds of addictions and bondages needs to hear is a powerless Gospel! The Holy Spirit is not sending these Preachers! People need to know that by the Grace and Power of God, His Word, and His Holy Spirit, they can live in victory over all sin! That's why Jesus came - to take away sin!
Please pray about supporting this ministry. God is moving mightily by His Spirit! Lives are being changed! It is wonderful to behold!
I promise you that God's blessing will come upon you for whatever gift you send.
