Carl's Poem

Here is a message and poem(song) that my husband Carl is sending out to his lists today. You are in for a real treat!

I pray that the FIRE of the Holy Ghost will come down upon you and make you so happy in Jesus - whereby you will forget all of your troubles.

Have a GLORIOUS DAY in Jesus.

Yesterday, just as I began to pray, suddenly, I was flooded with JOY by the presence of THE HOLY SPIRIT .

At the very same moment words began coming to me and I began to joyfully sing them out loud.

These were words, and a musical tune, that I had never heard before; but the Holy Spirit was giving them fresh to me as I began to sing them out.

Have you ever had this experience with the Lord in prayer ? If not I feel sorry for you.

It's true that prayer can be hard work, at times, and we all go through dry times in our walk with Jesus.

But, on the other hand our times with God, alone in prayer, should not always be dry or hard work. If it is---something is wrong.

You see, yesterday, as I went to pray I was facing a MOUNTAIN of DIFFICULTY.

Bills have been high and funds to pay them have been very low. I have been very weighted down by this and many other trials.

So, as I went to pray I began to tell God about all my "problems"-- lack of money to pay the pressing bills etc. etc......

But, I didn't even get problem #1 out of my mouth when, suddenly, The Holy Ghost descended upon me; and instead of reciting my list of "problems" to Jesus, I found myself dancing all over our living room, and dining room, all around the dining room table and chairs into the kitchen, back out to the living room, while all the while singing a JOY FILLED song that I had never heard before in my entire life of 57 years ! He promises, in His Bible, to give us a "New Song" and often he does this, with me, at the most unexpected times. You see, I thought for sure, that Jesus would welcome me into prayer with---"Ah...come here to me you poor thing...let me pat your back and comfort you in your misery "..... instead, it was kind of like he slapped me on the back and said---"Problems ?! What's that ?! Don't you know who I AM ?! Come on son let's sing and shout and dance awhile ! "

And that's when I found myself twirling around the entire downstairs of our home singing, dancing, and shouting.

I was thinking I should be feeling mighty bad.... but, actually, this all felt mighty good !

I was, when I first began to pray, feeling very low---but now HE was taking me much higher and, man, it was feeling good !

You, see, feelings are not bad. He made us emotional beings as well as intellectual ones. He expects us to use our brains.

He also wants us to come to Him with all of our feelings---both good and bad feelings---both positive and negative ones.

But, don't be surprised when He gives you--- "beauty for ashes, the oil of JOY for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness ".....see Isaiah 61:verses 1 thru 3

You see, our God doesn't have any PROBLEMS....but, He has plenty of SOLUTIONS for ALL OF OURS !

Hallelujah !!!!!!!! Glory To God In The Highest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU JESUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, many of these poems that the Lord gives me are actually songs ....

But, I know not a thing about music so it is impossible for me to convey the tune to you in writing....so, you just get the words.

You may like them, or not think much of them, but to me, because of how I received them, they mean everything.

Before I give you what the Lord gave me, let me first quote to you something from one of the most JOY FILLED preachers who ever lived. His name was Billy Bray. He was born in the later 18th century, and he preached into the 19th century.

Billy Bray ( before meeting JESUS ) was an ignorant, uneducated, Tin Miner in England. Although he was a hard worker in the mines, his wife and family often went without food, clothing, and many other necessities of life--- because Billy Bray was a drunkard and a gambler who went straight from payday at the mine to the barroom and gambling tables. His wife, had to come looking for Billy in the "Pubs"--- every payday evening. But, by the time she caught up with him, usually all the money was already gone. Then Billy Bray, one day, was abruptly confronted and arrested by THE LORD JESUS CHRIST !

Immediately Billy became the best husband a woman ever could wish for.....and a great father to his children.

Billy Bray then turned England upside down for Jesus !

The Holy Spirit continually filled Billy Bray with so much JOY that everywhere he went REVIVAL FIRES followed.

But, as you could expect, many so called Christians resented Billy's great Joy in The Lord.

Billy never got cross with them or bitter toward them. His comment about the situation was this----

"My comrades used to tell me---'that was no religion; dancing, shouting, and making so much to-do'---

But I was born in the FIRE and could not live in the SMOKE ! "

And now, the words of the song given to me yesterday by The Holy Spirit ------------

I CAN FEEL THE HOLY GHOST---IT FEELS JUST LIKE FIRE ! ! !

I can feel the Holy Ghost

it feels just like FIRE

He has come down from Heaven

with a burning desire

to fill you thru and thru

and take you much higher

I can feel the Holy Ghost

it feels just like FIRE !

He will point men to JESUS

make HIM so real

He will show them He's ready

to save and to heal

He will make JESUS everything

our only hope and desire

I can feel the Holy Ghost

it feels just like FIRE !

He will set your feet to dancing

put a shout in your voice

He will take away the gloominess

and make you rejoice

you will see JESUS clearly

when He takes you up higher

I can feel the Holy Ghost

it feels just like FIRE !

Peter denied JESUS, on crucifixion day,

he forgot that He was the TRUTH and the WAY

but JESUS forgave him

and took Peter higher

when on the day of Pentecost

he got Holy Ghost FIRE !

So, why are you staying so low down in sin

JESUS is knocking---let Him come in

He will fill your heart with joy and holy desire

YOU will feel the Holy Ghost

it will feel just like FIRE !

I can feel the Holy Ghost

it feels just like FIRE

He has come down from Heaven
