You Can Be Assured That 2007 Will Be Your Best Year
You may be wondering what the New Year will bring your way. Perhaps 2006 was a terrible year - a year of ups and downs... disappointments and setbacks...or trials and testings of the severest kind.
Or maybe it happened to be a very prosperous year - a year of great fulfillment, success, and accomplishment.
No matter what 2007 holds for you - you can confidently count on it being the Best Year of all.
How will that happen? If and only if you make the Lord "the strength of your life."
Psalm 18:2 says - "The LORD is...my strength..."
Psalm 46:1 says - "God is our...strength..."
Psalm 27:1 says - "...the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
Psalm 28:8 says - "The LORD is their strength, and He is the saving strength of His anointed."
Isaiah 45:24 says - "Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength..."
O Saint of God? Can you say today that "The LORD is your strength"? Is He your firm and immovable rock - your sure, unchanging, and eternal source of confidence and support?
Is He your source of strength in the midst of the greatest danger or when you are feeling weak and defenseless? How about when you need to exercise grace...perform your duties...withstand your enemies...bear your cross patiently...exhibit strength of mind under the sorest distresses... or simply hold on and out unto the end? His desire for you is to have you feel as safe in His strength as though you had that strength yourself - as though it resided in your own arm.
Having "the LORD" for your strength enables you to inquire in the face of the devil - "...of whom shall I be afraid?" Who or what will you fear - an evil report...a physical infirmity...problems which arise on the job making it very unstable...or a distressful situation that arises in your marriage or family?
"The LORD" is your stronghold. He is the One Who supports you and keeps you alive. Life can be easily crushed by trouble or sorrow. But you have nothing to fear because "the LORD is your strength." He will keep you from fainting, sinking, or dying away.
"The LORD" is the strength of His people. He is the stronghold of their salvation. In Him, they find the strength which produces salvation in their everyday circumstances.
"Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength..." Those who make the Lord their strength can certainly say that He is their support and assistance in doing His will and work...bearing afflictions...withstanding Satan's temptations...opposing all inner corruptions of their heart...and overcoming all foes.
It is when they are able to say - "Surely...in the LORD have I righteousness and strength..." - that they find Him to be "their strength in the time of trouble"(Psalm 37:39). They find Him to be "their arm every morning"(Isaiah 33:2). Even though all other sources of help and strength fail, they find Him to be faithful - "Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me..."(2 Timothy 4:17). They find that they are supernaturally infused with power because of their union with Him - " I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me"(Philippians 4:13). They
are furnished for every good work and fortified against every evil one - "Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power..."(Colossians 1:11). They are endued with a high degree of grace and endowed with the might of the spiritual gifts - "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man"(Ephesians 3:16).
"Surely...in the LORD have I...strength..."
When you can say that, you find Him to be a help, protection, and safety. You experience His everlasting arms bearing you up and upholding you under any and all troubles.
"Surely...in the LORD have I...strength..."
The "arm" is the symbol of strength. When God is your "arm," He becomes your strength constantly - "every morning." You are able to lean on and depend on Him for protection, support, and defense.
"Surely...in the LORD have I...strength..."
When God is your "strength," He pours power into you. He strengthens you to plead your own cause, make your own defense without fear, and be bold and courageous in the face of your enemies. He gives you freedom of thought and expression and gives you "a mouth and wisdom" that your enemies are not able to resist(Luke 21:15).
"Surely...in the LORD have I...strength..."
By His wonderful grace, you are made mighty...enabled...furnished...fortified...endowed...and endued with might and power to perform your duties...bear your trials...and overcome your enemies.
Because you are in a living relationship with Him, you never need to dread what is to come - trials...temptations...persecutions...afflictions...or difficulties. At every step of the way, you will derive power by virtue of your living union with Him.
"Surely...in the LORD have I...strength..."
In Ephesians 6:19, the Apostle Paul admonished all believers with these words - "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might." By relying on the Lord and His mighty promises, you can and will make it - victoriously - through another year.
2007 will be the Best Year yet!
How will that be possible?
Because you have made the Lord God your "strength."
Don't worry or fear what the devil may bring your way. You can and will handle it in God's power and might. He promises to pour into you His power.
Think about what is being said here!
Let this message get a hold of your heart today as you start a New Year.
Just think of what it will be like to have God pouring His power into your spiritual, physical, and mental being each and every day. Imagine Him being your "arm every morning." What you cannot handle or bear - He certainly can!
Therefore, wake up every day with the words on your lips - "Surely...in the LORD have I...strength..."
As you go through the day - let all of Heaven and all of Hell hear you say - "Surely...in the LORD have I...strength..."
Let your family and coworkers hear you confess in the face of all odds - "Surely...in the LORD have I...strength..."
And then when you lay your head down on your pillow for the night - be reminded of Who brought you through another day by saying - "Surely...in the LORD have I...strength..."
THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
Believe it and receive it!
By the "strength" of the Lord, it will be so!
May God Bless His Word.
