God Has A Surprising Word For You In 2007
"If it be asked, How should good men grow so rich, who are not so eager upon the world as others are and who commonly suffer for their well-doing? It is here answered, God, in His providence, often brings into their hands that which wicked people had laid up for themselves." - Matthew Henry
In Proverbs 13:22, we read - "A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just."
God - in His providence - orders the gains or heaped-up treasures of the wicked to find their way into the hands of the "just." He takes great pleasure in translating the wealth from one to another. The wicked man may have worked hard to accumulate what he has, but because he doesn't use his wealth for God's purposes, he eventually loses it or finds that it is transferred into the hands of someone who will use it wisely.
Read what other Scriptures have to say on this particular subject -
Job 27:16-17 says of "the portion of a wicked man with God"(Job 27:13) - "Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay; He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver."
"The wicked man" amasses riches or worldly wealth in the greatest abundance. However, he won't live to enjoy his ill-gotten gains. God will see to it that - by one means or another - the righteous will come into possession of it.
Exodus 12:36 says - "And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians."
When the Israelites left Egypt, they stripped the Egyptians. All of the wages - that were kept back from their arduous labors - were now given to them. By the direction and authority of God - Who has a right to dispose of the things of this world as He pleases - they carried away the wealth of Egypt with them. For the longest time, Egypt kept them poor. However, God furnished them with what they desired - and He used the wealth of Egypt to do so.
Isaiah 61:6 says - "But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves."
Here God promises His people that they will - "...eat the riches of the Gentiles..." In other words, they will enjoy, feast on, or consume the bounty of the nations. They will do good with them and use them for God's glory.
Ecclesiastes 2:26 says - "For God giveth to a man that is good in His sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner He giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that He may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit."
This Scripture can be a warning to all - sinner and saint alike - who choose to heap up large possessions or gather together a great deal of riches without God's wisdom and knowledge. If either chooses to seek wealth apart from God or hoard it for his own gain or security, Divine Providence is sure to take all for which he has labored and transfer it into the hands of a truly good man who will make good use of it. All those who refuse to give God His portion of the accumulated wealth or rebel against His use of it will lose their earthly good or have no proper enjoyment of it. Look around you or take note of the many wealthy people who are miserable in their wealth because they refuse God's wisdom and knowledge in the use of it.
Nahum 2:9 says - "Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture."
The great city of Ninevah had stored up an abundance of precious vessels of every kind. There was no end of the glorious garments, the costly furniture, the hoarded up wealth, or the household goods. Little did they realize that their wealth was reserved for the spoiler and they would not enjoy it.
God is speaking a "word" to His people for 2007. It is the command - "Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold"..."divide the silver"..."spoil the Egyptians"...and "eat the riches of the Gentiles."
This is a "word" to "the just"..."the innocent"..."the Priests of the LORD"..."the Ministers of our God"...as well as the "man that is good in His sight" who are walking in the "wisdom" and "knowledge" of the Lord. They are "seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness"(Matthew 6:33.) They are giving God His portion of their wealth - not withholding the "tithe" - or whatever God designates for His Kingdom work. They are channeling the "firstfruits" of their income into the work of the preaching and teaching of the Word of God - the building up of God's Kingdom - rather than man's kingdom or a certain denomination. They are furnishing the "laborers' " their hire so that souls may be brought into the Kingdom and the Lord's Name may be exalted in all the earth.
God takes great pleasure in seeing His servants prosper(Psalm 35:27).
Consequently, in His providence - in 2007 - there will be a shifting of "the wealth of the sinner" into the hands of the righteous.
But there is one word of warning here - If the "righteous" man begins to live apart from God after he amasses great wealth or makes his own decisions as to where God's portion should be channeled, then the Lord - in His providence - will strip him or spoil him of his goods. He will place it into the hands of "him that is good before God."
Knowing this - why not rededicate your ministry, job, work, or business to the Lord at this time?
Ask Him if you are indeed obeying Him in the channeling of His portion or the tithe.
Let Him show you if you are following His "wisdom and knowledge" in what passes through your hands unto others.
"...the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just."
Believe and receive this word from the Lord.
If you will do so, you will see that - in 2007 - you will prosper like never before.
What the devil kept back from you in years past will be yours this year.
Just be sure that you are following the leading of God's wisdom and knowledge - with no argument - and you will resultantly enjoy phenomenal blessings at the hand of Providence.
May God Bless His Word.
