How Can I Be Sure To Always Handle A Matter Wisely?

You may be facing a situation right now where you are at a loss for words or solutions. You feel totally baffled by it all. You have spoken every argument imaginable for the right, but to no avail.
Did you handle the matter wisely? Did you follow God's leading? Did you do according to His Word and Plan? How can you know for sure?
Whenever a situation arises in the future, how can you know the right way to take?

So many in the Body of Christ are suffering with regrets today. Their minds are plagued with such accusing thoughts as - "If only I would have handled that situation differently...If only I would have said this...If only I would have kept my mouth shut and not said what I did say...or If only I would not have lost my temper and acted the fool."

Proverbs 16:20 says - "He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good..."

Who - among us - would not have to respond to this verse with a hearty - "Amen!"?  There is such comfort, relief, and joy felt when we manage our affairs discreetly and prudently - when we work through a problem as the Lord would direct.

But some situations are not as easy to discern as others. Some arise so abruptly and catch us off guard. Before we know it, we are caught right in the middle of a dilemma and don't have the foggiest idea of how to get out of it.

This message can be likened unto a B-12 shot for your Faith. It is a message meant to stir you up by letting you know the provision God has made available for you - so that you are not caught off guard - unaware of what to do or say. If you will take these Scriptures to heart and prayer, God will enable you to "handle every matter wisely" that comes your way. In the end, all parties will "find good" as a result.

Nehemiah 9:20 says - "Thou gavest also Thy good spirit to instruct them..." - God's Spirit is there to constantly instruct you in the way you should take.

John 14:26 says - "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things..." - This promise from God's Word guarantees the infallible guidance of the Holy Spirit to you as a believer. He will make the Holy Scriptures easy to understand and instruct you in all things.

1 John 2:27 says - "But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him." - This special "ointment" serves as a means of guarding you against false teachers, seducers, or error. It teaches you all that is necessary to know and guides you into all truth.

Job 36:22 says - "Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like Him?" - None can work like God, nor can any teach like Him. He teaches with such authority, convincing evidence, condescension, and compassion. He teaches effectually, profitably, and powerfully by the Bible, His Son, His Spirit and Grace, and Providence. He is indeed your fountain of light, truth, knowledge, and instruction.

Psalm 94:10 says - "...he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not He know?" - He knows your thoughts, words, and actions. He is the Great Teacher Who teaches you all the knowledge you have. He sees human conduct as it is and understands your real character. He knows the devices and reasonings of your heart.

Psalm 94:12 says - "Blessed is the man whom Thou...teachest him out of Thy law." - Affliction is accompanied with Divine Instruction in order to train you for something higher and better. During times of testing, you are taught lessons of faith, patience, humility, self-denial, and submission to God's Will.

Job 33:16 says - "Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction." - God reveals important admonitions, warnings, or counsels. He communicates valuable truth and seals or imprints this instruction upon your mind.

Job 36:10 says - "He openeth also their ear to discipline..." - God makes you willing to learn the lessons which your afflictions are designed to teach. He gives the ability to understand the reason behind His "rod" of correction.

Job 36:15 says - "He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression." - He causes you to understand the nature of His government. He lets you know for what end your trouble was sent.

Psalm 40:6 says - "...mine ears hast Thou opened..." - He causes you to hear the truth of His Word that is being communicated to you.

Isaiah 50:5 says - "The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back." - The Lord makes you obediently attentive. He causes you to hear most freely and receive more fully.

Luke 24:45 says - "Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures." - He opens your heart and removes the veil from the eyes of your mind - enabling you to comprehend His Word.

Acts 16:14 says - "...whose heart the Lord opened..." - He opens your eyes, heart, and mind to give heed to the truth.

Psalm 25:9 says - "The meek will He guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach his way." - If you submit yourself to Him and are desirous to be directed and governed by Him, He will show you the way in which you should go.

Hebrews 5:14 says - "...even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." - He causes you to know what to accept and what to reject. He enables you to discern between good and evil, duty and sin, and truth and error.

2 Timothy 1:7 says - "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." - God has given you a sober, well-balanced mind...quietness of mind...divine wisdom...a clear understanding...and sound judgment.

1 Kings 3:11 says - "...asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment." - God will give you a clear head. He will enable you to discern where the right of a cause lies so that you will make a right judgment or pass a right sentence on a matter - not bringing injury to any.

Can we handle every matter wisely and find good?

God has shown us that He is our Great Teacher Who opens our ears, understanding, and heart. He is the "anointing" that lies within us and teaches us all things. He gives us a "sound mind" and the "understanding to discern judgment." If we remain "meek" or submissive to His Will and Way, He will always show us the way that we should take.

Proverbs 2:6 says - "For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." Hence, as long as we are not leaning to our own understanding but trusting in Him(Proverbs 3:5-6), we should never feel at a loss for what to say or do.

The Psalmist in Psalm 119:66 prayed - "Teach me good judgment and knowledge..." If we will be faithful to ask for teaching, God will be faithful to give us good taste and discernment so that we are able to decide what is right and wrong...wise or foolish...or good or evil.

"He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good..."

May you always find good in all your matters because you are handling every situation wisely - by and through the help of the Lord your God.
