I would like to share with you two Scriptures as preparation for our Prayer Time on Friday.
Yesterday, the Lord dropped the first Scripture into my heart as a theme for tomorrow's time of seeking after Him. It is Mary's prayer as recorded in Luke 1:38 - "And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to Thy word..." In this particular verse of Scripture, we see a woman resigning to the will of God. She is perfectly ready to obey all His commands and accomplish all of the purposes of grace that concern her. She gives her assent...earnestly desires it to be so...firmly believes that it will happen as He said...and gives her "Amen" to it. By referring to herself as the "handmaid of the Lord," she submits entirely to His will. She proclaims that she is at His service and at His disposal to do whatever He commands.
In Psalm 119:38, we find a similar type of prayer. The Psalmist prays - "Stablish Thy word unto Thy servant, who is devoted to Thy fear." One who is "devoted" to the fear of the Lord is one who is given up to His direction and disposal - just like Mary was. His prayer is that the Lord would confirm and fulfill all of His promises that were made to him. In other words, he is praying that God would fulfill His promises in due time and that he would be assured of their fulfillment.
What we hear the Lord calling for in these two Scriptures is TOTAL RESIGNATION - the total surrender of our lives to Him.
Does Jesus have all of you? Or are there areas that you are still holding onto?
It's time - like never before - to wholly surrender to the will of God for your life. Just because things are going smoothly does not mean that you are in His will or that you are pleasing in His sight.
This Friday will be designated as a time for us to specifically pray - "Behold the handmaid (servant) of the Lord; be it unto me according to Your Word" and also "Stablish Your Word unto Your servant, who is devoted to Your fear."
Notice that in both prayers, the suppliant took the stance of a "servant." Remember - God hates Pride! We cannot expect to receive anything from Him unless we come in an attitude of humility and submission.
Let's believe the Lord to reveal His will to each and every one of us. Some of you reading this message are not in God's will. You are so far from it. In fact, there are some who are venturing into territory that He never directed. Remember - the Scripture warns in Proverbs 14:12 - "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
We are asking all of you on Friday to once again lift up this ministry - Walking In Truth Ministry - before the Lord. We only want to do His will. And we want every promise that He has spoken concerning this work of faith to be fulfilled.
Also, pray about helping us with a financial gift. And when you give, please give "heartily" as to the Lord. It is His work, and He will be sure to reward you greatly for your obedience to Him.

Let's believe for great things to happen this Friday.
After spending time in prayer, may we all realize what total submission to God's will really entails.
