This Friday we will be having our weekly time of Prayer. So be sure to send in your Prayer Requests at prayerrequests@walkingintruth.org And, as always, send in your Praise Reports to - answerstoprayer@walkingintruth.org

Do I have a Praise Report to share with you! Last night(Tuesday) at 10:30 PM, my son John began to smell something burning while sitting in our living room. I had just come down from the upstairs when he immediately brought this situation to my attention. We began to check the air conditioner and other possible causes for the smell. As soon as I opened the laundry room, the smell increased. Since we live in a Townhouse, our laundry room joins right next to our neighbor's with the kitchen leading out from it. We immediately called Carl and asked him to go check on the neighbor's since the burnt smell seemed to be coming from their place.

At this point, the Lord gave John a word of knowledge telling him that something was burning on their stove. When Carl knocked on their door, sure enough, something was left on the stove. What happened was that Gerald came home very tired after a long day. He put hot dogs on the stove to cook and then made the mistake of going upstairs and lying down for a few minutes - totally forgetting about the hot dogs! The smoke alarm in which he and his wife just put new batteries never went off. Somehow, Gerald was awakened in time to realize that he left the hot dogs on the stove. A fire never did break out - just alot of smoke.

During the rest of the night, a smell of smoke filled our entire home. I could just imagine what the neighbor's house was like! But, oh how we thank God that a fire never did start. Being so close to each other, we would have certainly suffered much damage or most likely a total loss of all our possessions.

Isn't Jesus wonderful?

Right before this happened, I had just finished writing my Daily Bible Message entitled - "Why Do You Call On Jesus When You Pray?" If you have not read it yet, please do so. You will see how it relates to these events. My family and I experienced firsthand the protection and safety of the Lord Jesus as our rock, fortress, deliverer, God, strength, the One in Whom we trust, buckler, horn of our salvation, and high tower. Resultantly, we are saying of the Lord that He is so "worthy to be praised."

Satan intended evil for us. He intended for us to lose everything in a fire. But God awakened our neighbor just in time before the fire broke out. The smoke alarm failed. But Jesus didn't!

Therefore, we can say with total confidence as David did - " I will call upon the LORD, Who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. "

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we would like to announce that next week we will not be having a time of prayer. That is not to say that I will not be lifting y'all up before the Throne of Grace. I do that every day and will continue to do so. But, as far as the Friday Prayer Time goes, we will postpone that for the following week.

Nonetheless, we at Walking In Truth Ministry covet your continual prayers for greater grace to seek God in His Word and in prayer and to be "enlarged in our coast" as a ministry.

Also, we ask that you would pray about sending a financial gift our way. If you are thankful to the Lord for what He has done in your life through this ministry, then please consider sending a Thanksgiving offering. The needs are great at this time. Please be generous in your giving. We so appreciate your help.

This Friday, let's make it a time of great thanksgiving and praise for all that the Lord Jesus has done for us or brought us through.

"If it had not been the LORD Who was on our side..." (Psalm 124:1)

You fill in the blanks as to what could have possibly happened - had it not been for the Lord looking out for you and your family over the past year.

See you in the Throne Room,
Connie
